We put up at Diamond Park Inn. For 550Baht a room, we get a decent sized room, quite comfy beds, and rather clean toilets. Only drawback is Wifi can only be accessed in the lobby area.
Recommended by bochapoldmen.

Wiseoldman decided to send the souvenirs he bought back to the rest of the Bochap group by air mail. So guys, look out for the parcel!

Chiang Rai is also big on lotteries. They have a daily draw. Here's a kid trying to sell tickets to passing cars.

And another one.

Here's the best of the lot, a dog picking your lucky lottery ticket.

The old clock tower in Chiang Rai was replaced by this new golden one to honour the King.

Day 10 (1 May 2011) - Lao Sai, so can't go to the Laos side.

Bochapyoungman had an excruciating stomachache in the morning. In fact the night before he went to the loo many times in the middle of the night. Hence we decided to stay one more day in Chiang Mai, while he goes to see the doctor.

The doctor gave him some antibiotics which worked really well. Cos the whole afternoon and night, he did not go to the toilet once! Thumbs up for healthcare in Chiang Mai.

The great guys at Mr Mechanic brought youngman to the doctor.
