Day 7 (28 April 2011) - The Highest Peak in Thailand, The Bochapoldmen Tree, The Legendary Mae Hong Son

Sorry guys for the delay in updating this blog. We had no internet connection for e past few days.

Here goes! Day 7, we departed from Mae Sariang to Doi Inthanon (the highest mountain in thailand).

After Doi Inthanon we took a long slippery winding road to Khun Yuam and then to Mae Hong Son.
The road entering Mae Hong Son was fantastic! Lots of twist and turns, and best of all no pot holes.

If your arms arent long enough, this is how you scratch your back

74 Kms to Doi Inthanon!

All smiles. Good weather. Good riding roads

Look how hard the farmers are working! Do not waste food.

Spotted this strange looking plant on e way to MHS. Asked around, but no body knew the name of this tree.

So from today onwards, this plant will be known as THE BOCHAPOLDMEN TREE.

When we returned from a cup of coffee we found our bikes being molested!

Ngamata Hotel in Mae Hong Son. A very comfortable hotel with ample bike parking lots. Nice clean beds, nice clean toilets and located right in the heart of MHS town. Highly recommended. For a 3 bedder room, 1200 baht a night.

They've even folded our bath towels in to the shape of a prostrating girl begging for money.
